An American interior designer commissioned a large redwood dining set for a private estate in California. The client wanted a statement dining table capable of seating twelve guests, crafted from solid aged redwood with elaborate carvings that would serve as the centerpiece of the home's entertainment space.
Yunxiao produced a custom 12-seat carved redwood dining table with twelve matching chairs, each featuring hand-carved auspicious patterns. The table measured 3.6 meters in length, and the design was developed through three rounds of layout drawings and a pre-production sample chair before final production began. The designer specified cream upholstered seats to contrast with the deep redwood frame.
The complete set underwent the full 36-day drying and finishing cycle before being packed in custom foam-protected crates with ISPM 15 certification. Shipping took 18 days by sea to Los Angeles. The designer reported that the dining set exceeded the client's expectations and became the most photographed room in the estate. The mortise-and-tenon construction has shown no signs of cracking or deformation after two years of use in the dry California climate.
